Nanoha StrikerS Episode 18: Wings, Once Again
TSAB is picking through the wreckage and trying to figure out eachly how to deal with the criminal responsible. Regius is pissed off as all hell and demands answers. His secretary briefly meets with Hayate on her inspection.
Riot 6 members are at the former HQ. Teana is looking through the damage when Signum comes up for a status report. Teana lets her know that Vivio was taken, but the damage to people was otherwise pretty minimal. Signum thanks and dismisses her. Teana then contacts Nanoha and gives her a brief status report as well as learning what all the other Riot 6 people are doing before heading over to Subaru. Nanoha then sees Vivio’s destroyed rabbit and recoils.
At the hospital, Shirley is in tears over losing Vivio. Zafira is also seriously injured, but Shama is mostly okay. Rein is also undergoing diagnostics and repairs, but should be fine. Vice was also very seriously injured in the attack and is in intensive care.
Tea heads into the ward for Subaru and Erio. Both are injured but relatively okay. Subaru’s arm is making noises as she tries to move it around, and she says that it’s still being repaired. Caro and Erio head out to get some air, letting Teana have a heart to heart with Subaru.
Subaru apologizes, but Teana tells her that there’s nothing to apologize for. She says that Ginga will be fine and that Nanoha and the rest will help rescue her as soon as they can. Teana continues with a long speech about Subaru shouldn’t give hope and they’ll definitely work together to save her.
Regius’ secretary is still grilling Hayate about everything that happened.
There’s a huge conference on the nature of the androids being led by Subaru’s father, Genya. He tells them about how humans were being fused with machines to create the androids. Scaglietti was using humans as a base and then infusing various machines into them. His wife, Quint, led an attack on Jail and ended up saving Subaru and Ginga and then they adopted them because they couldn’t have children otherwise. The resemblence is (supposedly) just a coincidence. She eventually died, but Genya raised them since he thought it’s what she would want from him. There was a little more, but my Japanese technobabble is awful. Apologies.
Hayate is still meeting with the secretary. Hayate doesn’t have particularly complimentary things to say about Regius, saying that he used to be a radical and that his past research and proposals have aligned very strongly with Scaglietti’s… especially in terms of using androids and other machines to strengthen fighters.
The secretary throws it back in Hayate’s face, saying that her past with the Book of Darkness is no better. Hayate says that the Book of Darkness is no more and that while that is long over, this is still happening.
Regius is raging in his office once again, throwing shit around and in general being randomly pissed off. One of his assistants shows him a report of Zest. Regius recognizes it and nearly has a heart attack.
Zest meanwhile, is coughing up blood. Agito is extremely concerned (and calling him ‘husband’). She gives him a pep talk, and he says that he’s feeling a bit better and sends her off to get some tea for him. Uno then contacts him and they talk for a bit about the last mission and the relic they seized before letting him know that Lutecia is fine and with them.
In the number HQ, Ginga is in he testtube while Quattro is running tests. She’s amazed at how powerful the Type-Zeros are and how the other Type-Zero dealt with Nove and crew. Nove is pissed off and wants her revenge. Quattro gets called over to the Scaglietti.
Lutecia is looking at capsule XI. Wendy comes up and asks her how her mother is doing. Lutecia says that the doctor said that the doctor can wake up her mother if they can find the right relic.
Hayate’s next meeting is with Acous. They’re in relatively good spirits as the Asura is nearly finished and it’ll be the new mobile HQ for Riot 6 for at least a little while.
Nanoha and Fate are looking over the city. Nanoha remembers the promise she made to Vivio about coming home safely and starts crying about how she couldn’t protect her. Fate hugs her and says that they’ll save her and Vivio will be just fine.
Back in Scaglietti’s lab, Vivio is strapped down and scared witless. Scaglietti and Uno walk in with a relic box. Vivio sees it and starts screaming for her mother. They open the box (can’t see the number), and Scaglietti says that he’s going to infuse the Relic into her to awaken the Holy Emperor.
